Only 5% of attorneys in Virginia receive this distinction through the process that includes input from peers and research. Ilona Ely Grenadier and Lisa L. Levi have been a part of the rankings since 2023 in Family Law. Carole A. Rubin joined the rankings in 2024 in the categories of Family Law and Family Law Mediation. Katherine Smith became a new addition to the rankings in the Family Law category this year (2025) after being recognized as a rising star from 2019 to 2024.
